Curt S. Dahl has been an elected municipal official serving as Council Member since 2022. In 2026 he was appointed Council President and in this leadership role, he helps guide council meetings, works closely with fellow Council Members and the Mayor, and focuses on policies and initiatives that support the long-term well-being of the borough and its residents.
Curt grew up in Linden, New Jersey, and later attended both high school and college in Florida. In 1990, he began his professional career as a trader on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, launching what would become more than 25 years in the financial markets. Over the course of his trading career, Curt held multiple professional licenses, including Series 7, 8, 24, 63, and 55, reflecting deep experience in trading, supervision, and financial regulation.
In 2001, Curt and his wife moved to Watchung, where they have raised their three children and built deep roots in the community. His commitment to Watchung extends well beyond elected office. Curt has served for many years on the boards of Pop Warner and Little League, and has coached travel and recreational baseball, basketball, and football, dedicating countless hours to youth development and local athletics.
Entrepreneurially, Curt is the owner of Plus Performance, a baseball training business, and Joseph and Curtis Custom Wine Cellars, a nationally recognized firm specializing in the design and construction of custom wine rooms, bars, and high-end millwork for residential and commercial clients across the country.
Curt’s combined background in finance, business ownership, coaching, and public service reflects a lifelong commitment to leadership, discipline, and community involvement—values he brings to his role as Council President and to everything he does in Watchung.
