Somerset County Food Pantries are currently reporting a major increase in demand of food insecure families within Somerset County. New families requiring food assistance during the month of October 2023 are as high as 400 new families seeking food assistance within a 3-day period. There is also a steady increase in demand for school-aged children requiring food assistance over the weekends, when school is out of session.
