Lindsay Goodloe was elected to the Watchung Borough Council in 2018. Council Member Goodloe currently serves as Fire Commissioner, liaison to two boards: the Watchung Library Advisory Board and Traffic and Beautification Committee, and is a member of two council committees: Public Works and Administration and Finance Committees.
Among her many accomplishments, Goodloe has championed saving and maintaining the existing library and building a new state-of-the-art library in Watchung. Goodloe has worked tirelessly to ensure that Watchung invests in the efficient delivery of services, infrastructure, and recreational programs, while holding down municipal taxes. As liaison to the Traffic and Beautification Committee, Goodloe has worked to preserve, protect, and maintain Watchung's lakes, parks, natural resources, and public spaces, and has spear-headed beautifying the town with new welcome-to-Watchung signs, the planting of cherry trees and flowers, and enhanced recycling programs.
Goodloe is an attorney and claims specialist at Everest National Insurance Company. She is raising her daughter Hope in Watchung. A graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law - Newark, Goodloe brings her broad range of experience in law and public policy to decision-making for the benefit of all residents.
